Our History

Our family’s story begins in Taxco, a small province in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. Taxco is a place unlike any other — a town where every building is painted white by law, giving it this almost otherworldly feeling the moment you arrive. The streets are lined with food stalls, local cooks, and the aromatics of fresh meals drifting in every direction. Even though we didn’t realize it at the time, growing up around that environment planted the seed for the passion our family carries today.

When my parents, Fermín and Erika, immigrated to the United States, they brought that love for food and people with them. At every family gathering — birthdays, holidays, or any excuse to get together — they were happiest when they were cooking for everyone else. Their reward wasn’t money or recognition; it was the joy on people’s faces, the way good food brought our whole family together. My dad has always believed you do your best work when you truly love what you’re doing, and he’s lived by that every single day.

My mom plays a huge role in what we do as well. Erika makes everything from scratch — every marinade, every salsa, every agua fresca. It took a lot of trial and error over the years, but she perfected recipes that are now true crowd favorites (even the spicy ones that come with a kick!). Everything is prepared fresh the same day of the event — usually just a couple of hours beforehand — because quality and freshness matter to us more than anything.

Today, our business is a local, family-owned operation proudly carried on by my parents’ children. We admire the passion and dedication they’ve always shown, and we’re committed to continuing that tradition of pride, joy, and genuine care in everything we do. From the way we prepare our food to the way we serve our community, we do it with the same heart our parents taught us with.

Quality, sanitation, customer service, and authenticity are at the center of everything we offer — because that’s the way our family has always done it.
